This can be said of much of the country. We are a competitive country and we hate it when someone else gets ahead. The big squeeze is on now and people are getting worried about their futures and many vent this worry through acts of jealousy or envy of others. FIDO. F*ck It, Drive On.
I've said it before around here, that the only power most people have is to piss other people off. That's why they clog the left lane on the freeway, race past us in their Priuses, flip each other off and speed away, make all the noise they can with their vehicles at all hours and basically act like a-holes as much as possible. I call it the lizard brain. Most people are not in control of their emotional impulses and their lizard brains cause them to make stupid gestures and comments at the rest of us. FIDO. Oh, and try to see them coming and avoid and ignore.
They love to piss us off but they hate to be ignored. Smile as they flip you off, it'll make them crazier and they'll simmer because you ignored them.
