Upgraded my test iPad mini with no issues. For me the OS isn't anything special.
One more thing....
If you have a business phone that is managed by an MDM platform talk to your IT weenies before upgrading. I made sure ours (MobileIron) was upgraded first to support iOS7, otherwise the devices wouldn't work with it.
