After over 10 years of driving my 911SC all over the NW, I encountered only enthusiastic waves of approval and it started many a conversation in parking lots, on ferrys, at stop lights, and in my own Seattle driveway. The only negative "snobbery" reactions I ever received were from cops....one stick-up-her-a** old Asian female Seattle cop, and Deputy Bubba outside of Detroit, Oregon. The ONLY car I ever drove that I got more friendly waves in, was my Vanagon (WRX STI-powered).
