Vettel is a great driver and one thing that makes a great driver is the ability to get the most out of your car/equipment/tires without breaking it.. If you do some research you'll find that Weber was breaking transmissions before Vettel ever drove a Red Bull.
BTW: RB has a huge budget that allows them to build two of the best cars on the grid. They want the most points possible because the constructors championship is paramount. If one breaks or consistently gets poor starts, you should start looking at the driver.
