[update] brake pads bought, now trans scaring me
So I need to order brake pads today. The primary reason I'm buying them is for the drivers ed coming in a week, but also they'll remain on there for daily driving thereafter.
From Pelican, my options seem to me Jurid or Mintex (the cheaper versions of both). Everyone seems to recommend Pagid, but for a 951 the only option is the really pricey Pagid S pad. They say they are for track/street.
With Jurid the front-back cost will be ~$100
Mintex, it would be ~$72
With the Pagid, ~$340
If this matters, my rotors are stock. Advise?
(note: I am very concerned about brakes working when I'm on the track so I don't soil myself)
