I had two 80s. the first one was an earlier ones but the speedo broke at 260000. That thing was built like a tank, It finally died (with me trying to kill with many desert miles when I was a young punk). It finally rolled about 6 years after the speedo was broken with no issues but a new radiator. the other 80 (93) had a pin hole in the head gasket and no other problems. it ran strong with a tad bit of water every couple thousand miles. It was killed by a woman on the phone. Those trucks are good. I especially like their mid 80s pickup with that 22R motor. tough little thing. Oh, lets not forget about our GM350. That little motor will run for a long time if taken care of.

At 200k my 1991 FJ80 had a replaced water pump and fuel pump. That's it. Fantastic truck that I should have never sold.
