Just bought my 89 this year. I drive it on weekends and 1or 2 or maybe 3 times to work a week depending on weather. I also have a BMW 530 and a BMW motorcycle I like to use. The other limitation for me is AC - I won't drive the 911 when it is 90 degrees - just don't enjoy it. And I won't drive it in the rain if it has recently been washed. Call me a lightweight but why drive it in the rain of you have an AWD Bimmer?

That said, i will end up putting 5,000 miles on the P car before it goes into winter storage (no way it will see the salted roads we have in the Midwest). So, I feel I get good use out of it.

I see you live in Texas - I think the only potential issue to drive an old 911 would be AC. Personally, I would either get an older Porsche and have an all new, modern AC systen installed or buy a 964/993/996. Texas gets mighty warm.
