Ethanol sucks because you use just a little bit less energy to make it than what you get out, but if you have stainless steel fuel lines then you can run E85 or, even better straight Methanol (with some castor oil to give it some lubricity) then turn up the boost as high as the head studs will take. It is good because more power. Bad part is your range is cut in half with methanol because you need to use twice as much of it compared to gasoline- but it is actually better in terms of CO2 emissions even with the extra fuel. And methanol is easy to make- just ask a blind moonshiner.
