You know the saying... A bad day fishing always beats a good day working...
Its just fun to go out and wet a line. Hang out with your buddies and have a beer or two and just relax. Even better when the fishies are biting! That is the downside to work trips, for me at least. We take customers fishing, so I'm in entertain customers mode and don't get to relax as much. Luckily the guide we pay is awesome, and we don't even have to bait our hooks or take fish off, so our customers can just sit back and drink beer and reel in big fish.
