On a bit of a different note, a Ferrari GTO set an all-time record for any automobile sale: $52 million. At that point they're really just investments (one you can drive and have some fun with...). I think someone who spends $52 mil is looking at what he can make on it when it comes time to sell, cars have replaced Van Goghs.
