85 1/2+ AC Heat Problems Sensei I need advice again
Hello again and merry well -- ah ya know
I have a 86 944NA just got the cluch sorted out and I'm getting to drive it for the first time (Kind of cool I must admit) but I'm being driven out of the cockpit by the heat that I can't shut off. now this poor car hasn't been loved by PO's of the past and I'm trying to recify that. I'm missing the knobs for the air direction and the Temp and the AC switch is missing. so
1. I followed the tube from beside the clock and found a small thing That I took apart it consisted of a small electric motor powering a fan to pull air past what I assume is a thermistor (sic) the motor was siezed and alot of crap was in the tube I cleaned it out and oiled the motor then put it back togher the fan now works but no Joy I'm still baking. Ok where do I go from here can I test the Thermistor ? anyone know how to jumper around the system to shut the heat off (nice to be able to turn it on again as the wife is kind of a cold body type)
