I said that to the wife as we were leaving rehearsal tonight.
Temple has racks of folding chairs but my feeling was I did not want to put the Rabbi in the position of saying no which IMHO he really should.
It's TX, not a lot of Jews in these here parts so the congregation is small / tight knit and there are lots of things we all do to support it financially.
Basically if you do it for one you need to do it for all who ask and we all know there is one in every crowd who will punish you for your good deed.
I got it all sorted today so we are good. And there is a forecast for rain this weekend so the guests will all come inside while the chairs sit outside and get wet.
During rehearsal tonight I did my spoken parts Southern Baptist style. Our Rabbi is really cool, said "I'm ok with any delivery that makes you comfortable, just leave out the "Hallelujah can I get an Amen" part and we're good"
