Different types of passenger vehicles seem to have to meet completely different noise requirements. When an typical car is idling on the curb beside you , it is hardly noticeable. When a diesel pickup truck is idling, it is so loud you can't even have a conversation without shouting.

I would like all light duty vehicles to meet the same noise limits, meaning for the diesel p/u to be quieter.

Thoughts ?
