That's good news. My gut instinct tells me that if you push them, then they will fold and will not call your bluff. I am willing to bet they do not have the budget to fight it out in court, that gets expensive very quickly when your attorney is charging you for every phone call, letter, brief, call to the other attorney, travel expenses, etc. I do not know what the cost is in Los Angeles, but you can't get a decent lawyer for under $175.00 and that is in rural Mississippi. A buddy of mine works at a big firm in Jackson and they bill $300.00 per hour, plus all expenses paid and all they do is represent insurance companies and national/international corporations.
