Thanks, Greg - me too. I still have not tried shooting these things post accident. Maybe another month; I still have some soft tissue damage healing up in my right hand. I've put a couple thousand rounds through the air guns in the last month or so, but anything with recoil is off limits for now. I can't wait to shoot the new one.

That reminds me of another big improvement over older Colts - the new ones actually shoot to the sights with standard loads. They all used to shoot low and left right out of the box, on purpose. This allowed the shooter to file the front sight down for elevation and to screw the barrel in a bit more, or bend the front sight to the left for windage. I had to do that on every new Colt I ever bought, and some of the older ones that the previous owners didn't bother with. My 5 1/2" was right on at 50 yards with any of my 250-270 grain cast bullets at about 900 fps. Didn't have to touch a thing. I hope the new 7 1/2" works out the same.
