Unsafe for a "handstand without a helmet" --- ???? Seriously? I guess gymnastics is pretty much out of the question. For those of us who have actually DONE handstands, a head injury is pretty unlikely but possibly a neck injury from an abrupt drop.
And the kid doing the cannonball is also unsafe. Realistically, aside from carefully walking into the shallow end with a life vest on, a cannonball (limbs tucked, bottom first) is pretty safe. Splashy and loud, but that's about it.
Guess it's probably just as well that our kids are grown. I made everyone wear helmets for biking, skateboarding and skiing. But I'm the one that taught them to climb trees and jump off the end of the dock, in you guessed it - a CANNONBALL!!!
