Some people have a second triangle shaped plate welded on going back to the strut tube to put that guy in double shear. Once you get to the point you have... I'd say it's a good idea...

126coupe - for gawd's sake, listen to Schumi. The mechanical inguneer in me just puckers right up at the sight of that last photo. That is going to break - no ifs, ands, or buts. Other than that, it all looks beautiful - but please, please, please - address that steering arm to strut arm joint.
