I also feel like money given to most charities goes to support a wealthy class of management and then provide some limited support to the proposed recipients. We give very little to nothing to organized charities anymore.

This irritates me a lot too.
I am too old and wise and sceptical to give money to any organisation or person where I cant see its actual end use.
When I am feeling charitable I hate being scammed.

When I was a young artist, I spent time in the Vatican in Rome and had an incredible artistic learning experience. But I later realised that the pomp & splendour & wealth was mostly built up from charitable donations. I hate the way that some/most organised charities enrich their senior management. They aim to be mini Vaticans!

I try to practice random acts of kindness - today I took a family out to look at a rental property as they no longer have a car. (This saved them taxi fares.)
