Apple Event Oct 22
Apple needs to start innovating again and get off of he perpetual "incremental upgrade" treadmill. It's getting annoying. I'm foregoing mavericks since I'll lose my windows virtual machines (Mavericks is not compatible with Parallels 7) and I don't feel like paying $50 to buy the latest version in order to run my "windows only" software like Revit. If there's one thing I absolutely can't stand even more than paying too much for something it's paying for something twice. I don't know for sure but I'm willing to bet the recent upgrades and improvements are pretty minor / incremental and IMHO aren't worth the additional expense just to get me the same level if functionality that I presently have.
I'll wait until a few reviews are out on Mavericks and if it's truly beneficial or revolutionary I'll bite the bullet but I also know that one of the fastest paths to frustration (and probably bankruptcy) is to chase the "cutting edge" versions of things all the time.
