As for eye care up here, you get free checkups/car etc. But if you need glasses YOU have to pay out of pocket and they are not cheap like in the US.
If you have low income you get free glasses.
Dentists and tattoo artists make a killing up here
I know people that fly to countries like Thailand, India, Malaysia just to have a little vacation, have their teeth done and big ole tat (amonst other things of course....)
