That'd have probably been moonshine

. I've been talking trash about wine, but NC has actually become quite a "wine producing state"....in the heart of moonshine country, tobacco fields have been replaced with vineyards and wineries....all good stuff! In my youth (down east), we had "pig pickins" that's where you start the whole hog process the night before when planning the feast for late the next afternoon. By the time the pig was ready for the masses, most of the cooks that had been up all night were "ruint" after 15 hours

. Didn't matter....the journey was the prize.
