get on to rennlist, the regional forum there is huge and one of our toronto boys can help you look at it. nothing to worry about. worst case need an alternator.
the reason the car was lurching and not responding is because you dont have enough energy to run the ignition system
i concur with above. your belt is stretched / burned . if you have ac on that car remove this belt first. the clutch could be seized. causing other issues.
also recharge battery on a charger . not in your car.
doubt you will get a belt at partsource or ct.
