Actually, they did tell him why he has the wrong DME....

He didnt even specify that he was charged, or that they sent him away.

The dealer (Circle Porsche Long Beach Ca.) diagnosed the problem, put a new DME in it, along with (2) two new key fobs/transponders and (1) one key shank, reprogrammed it and some other minor things and it cost $3807.35
I am happy to have the car running, might have been a bit steep but for me...The guys at the dealer were GREAT to work with.
Any one looking for a (good) early DME with (1) one key fob/transponder #996.618.605.00 (Bosch) open to offers 8~)
