They did answer the call once it came to a standstill. They generally ignore trying to track a moving vehicle. The fact is, they have to get a patrol car at above traffic speeds to intercept a moving vehichle = dangerous.
Trying to coordinate exact locations of a moving vehichle between some one on the phone with 911, the 911 person on the phone with the person in the vehicle, units, and others, to get it all together, isn't exactly quick enough.
My call with the police went no where while chasing a drunk - until after about 30 miles at 80-85MPH, he finally got lost in a small town, and small town cops were all over him. The only thing that puzzles me, is why the state highway patrol didn't have one of their speed trap guys move to southbound from northbound.
