I'm not too fond of the design really. I feel that if zee germans thought it needed to be one piece, who are we to argue with them? And this isn't a track car, I've got no desire to be swapping the gasket in just a few hours. For almost any production car the bean counters get in the way. I bet every mechanic on the design team wanted a three piece but the bean counters figured they could save a few bucks on the car and they won.
I guess you are doing the same thing right now.

No, I'm saying I don't think the design of that particular piece looks worth it, plus given the stories I've heard, I'm not find of giving them any more of my money.
