Congratulation on the 914 purchase. Yes, don't do what I did, I purchased one that was in very nice shape and strip it down to nothing, then started on the GT conversion. Might as well start with a roller-type and do what you want.
BTW, I have a roller for sale, but it's not a factory six, a very clean and rust-free chassis from a 1972 1.7L. Here are the
photos.
Note: The above photo is not up to date, the chassis comes with 7" and 8" factory Fuchs. The two pairs of 7x15 and 8x15 Aluminum Centerline wheels are being offer separateely
