I didn't do any media blasting. That would be quick but I don't like the media getting everywhere and hiding in the nooks and crannies.

I took off the thickest undercoating with a heat gun and putty knife where accesible, then hit it with castrol purple a scrub brush and power washer to get out the rest. Repeat as needed. Repeat, repeat, and repeat again.

Then I used sandpaper mostly just hand-held because it is impossible to get a power sander into most of the jam.

I'll put pictures of the booth in the next update. Plan is to clean out the garage thoroughly removing as much dust as possible. Then walls and ceiling will be covered in polythene sheeting. A box fan will be fitted in one window to exhaust fumes, a furnace filter fitted in another window to provide a source of filtered air. I'll put one or two box fans inside with furnace filters attached to suck out floating particles.

The floor will be wet down to cut down dust.
