I have a similar car I'll be putting up for sale. Would be thrilled with $23K, but realistically it's worth a couple grand less.
I think what we're seeing here is two things: one, a lack of clarity on whether the engine was matching to the chassis. That was left vague, and possibly the high bidder assumed it was the original engine. Two, we are seeing a 'color premium.' Someone really wanted a signal orange car... and was willing to pay a few grand more to get it.
