Matt, while we certainly possess more "humane" ways in which to dispatch game than the bow, the manner in which it kills is stall far more humane than the myriad of means through which they die naturally. Nature is cruel - man only slightly less so. That, and anyone who has killed enough game with modern firearms will readily acknowledge they don't always drop to the shot. As a matter of that, it is the rare exception that they do. Animals don't give up their lives that easily. They suffer plenty even when hit with the most modern of rounds. Let's not kid anyone.
