there is MORE BIG GAME NOW..................than before columbus landed here, due to PROPER wildlife mgmt.
example here in airey-zoney(AZ).
when "whitey" came here way back when(think bill williams mtn man) all BIG 10 game species had HUGE POPULATIONS, kept in check by APEX predators(mtn kittys bobkittys wolfeys honey badgers,indians,grizzy bears,black bears). once "whitey" arrived, everythang was SHOT TO POO!

elk-gone
wolfeys-gone
grizzy bears-gone(1920's last one shot in blue primative range)

beavers-gone-"wally walapi" i think bagged the last one.

the ONLY predators to survive in any viable numbers to procreate............mr mtn kitty and mr bobby kitty. cuz theys sneaky. but if you were a mtn kitty in the GILA forests of new messiko...........BEN LILLY would have "CAPPED YO AZZ" in a heartbeat as thats ALL HE DID HIS ENTIRE LIFE IN THERE! and the ranchers paid him handsomely for his services.
850 cow elk tags for early hunt here this year. and i GOT ONE! w/my 45/70!

therefore YOU WON'T HIT a COW ELK hauling azz at night along I-40 here in ARIZONA!
