Hi, I haven't posted on PP for a long time. From 1999 to about 2002 I had a 1986 944. I had the Fuchs alloys and the M030 suspension. From 2002 to early 2005 I had a '76 911 with a 3.0. The paint sucked but it was quicker than spit on a skillet. I wrecked it. Mea culpa. I took the insurance money and got a VWGTI and got 150,000 miles out of it and now the tranny is going to cost more than the resale value of the whole car. Oh well. So I'm shopping for a new car.
I'm looking at a really nice 1985 944. I took it for test drive and looked over it carefully today. It's a stunner. I have it scheduled for a PPI early next week. I found one thing of concern. There is a leak on the passenger side near where the lower control arm meets the body. Naturally I'm going to have the PPI look at this, but I though I might see what everyone here has to say.
If I buy this you can expect me to read and post here from time to time. I'm excited.
