If this is the first time you work on the PS system, here is a list:
1. Change the PS reservoir--it has a filter inside.
2. Get the new short PS hose from the reservoir to the PS pump and fitting.
3. If this does not stop the bubbles in the reservoir, Rebuild the PS pump with the Pelican kit -$20
4. The burning smoke near the reservoir could be a bad oil filter gasket and it drips.
or a bad cam gasket. Go under the car and follow the drips. There is a UV dye kit that works well to find oil leaks and saves time.
