Ah well, they didn't trace out that leak, but they did find a leaking head bolt, shot tranny mounts, and worn rear wheel bearings. That and a search of the records show the original clutch is probably still in there. Rough guesses of 2k for a head gasket, 800 for bearings and $1.2k for the clutch add up to $4k in fixes likely in the first year making it a $11500 car. So I decided against. I feel bad for the current owner.
