Setup is everything. Very nice results on your Epiphone. I've always felt that the Korean made Epiphones were very nice guitars for the money. Don't feel bad it isnt a Gibson. In my opinion, Gibsons arent as good as they once were.
Here's mine. 1978 Yamaha SA2000. This guitar is bone stock except for an Seymour Duncan JB installed shortly after it was bought.
I'll put this guitar up against any 335. The level of construction in these guitars was special. All the binding, inlays, tuners are top quality. It even has the build sheet with all the signed off clearance adjustments and intonation from the factory.
It also SCREAMS. I can play anything on this guitar.
