Hans had some made, excellent, not cheap.
Mounting depth is frequently quoted with a front of panel mounting and includes only the behind the panel distance. Early cars mount behind the panel so you have to add the depth of the speaker mounting frame.
By bad sound on factory speaker, no bass? That is due to no surround, so no seal which is required for bass. Replace the edge of the speaker between cone and frame and they work fine.
I don't know of any currently available speakers other than Hans that fit, Crutchfield or any other normal retail source, but there have been recent threads, so search and see.
