Good points. I'm middle-aged and somewhat out of shape, I too often make the mistake of seeing myself as I was 10 or 15 years ago. Gettin old sux, admitting it sux even more.
like you and gogar said, not seeing a punch coming and not being ready for it probably makes a huge difference.
