The 951 is an awesome track toy, but for street driving, the 944S2 is much more enjoyable (I've had both).

The S2 has gobs of low-end torque, zero turbo lag, and is much easier to work on than the Turbo.

In stock trim, the performance between the turbo and S2 is very similar. The Turbo's big advantage is that with a few relatively easy mods, it can be turned into quite the monster.

For daily driver duty, I'd prolly go with a 944 over a Boxster because of the huge cargo area under the rear hatch. Great car for a parts/tool hauler.

Both Boxters and 944s are phenomenally fun cars to drive.
