I am thankful for many things this year. I am the happiest I have been in a very long time. Last year, I had just gotten laid off a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. No severance pay, no warning. I had no idea what I was going to do. And with the wonderful caring people here at Pelican, my fears and anxiety were quickly relieved when I was given gift cards to grocery stores and toys that my boys are still enjoying to this day. I am thankful for all the women and men here and how every day, we touch each others lives without ever really meeting each other. I have been very fortunate to meet some of the Pelicans, like Joe and Lee. I will never forget the day they came and delivered the toys and gift cards. This is truly an amazing group of people.
Happy Thanksgiving, Pelicans. I give thanks.
And especially to one Pelican that has made my life such a happy one.
