I too use a Budge cover and I think it cost all of $60. My car is garaged. I use it primarily as a dust cover. It does offer some protection when walking in and out of the garage with shovels during the winter. It doesn't have any pockets for the mirrors, but I don't mind.
Those stretch type covers are purely dust covers, offering no padding. One mind as well use a few old bed sheets which is hell of a lot cheaper than a custom fitted cover.
