On another note about
AMPs, alot of guys here (where I live) are really into Fender amps from maybe the
50's or 60's. Is that something ya'll do?

I like tube amps and have two, a 1968 Fender Champ and a Fender Tweed Deluxe clone with nos tubes and vintage speaker. I would like a Fender Blackface Deluxe Reverb, but I think buying a new boutique amp might be a better option. I'm pretty sure I'll be buying a Carr Sportsman.
My brother has a GE Smith Tele and wants an ES335(he really wishes he would have pulled the trigger on a Pelham Blue one!). On the other hand does not have any amps, no matter how many I find for him to buy. He just passed on a nice Victoria 5112(it's been sold) and now there's a Swart STR Tweed available. I almost bought the Vicky myself and the Swart sure would be a nice addition to my collection.
I at least try to play and have been becoming more and more serious about it. I wish I didn't start so late in life. My brother won't even try.
