Halliburton Co. was to be responsible for controlling oil well fires in Iraq. the extent of the oil fires could have been zero. (it actually turned out pretty close to that.) 7% of zero won't even pay for their consideration.

Back to 'Why is it "pretty suspect "? Is there ANY other organization who could even DO the job?

What I see, is just a piss-poor grasp at straws, from the left.

The first Gulf war, the environmentalist left was saying that these fires would burn for over a decade. (based on existing time it takes to contain these nasty fires.)

Halliburton Co., thru their innovative methods, got that nasty job done WAY WAY under both time and cost estimates.

So now, rather than being thankful that a competent company would step-up to do this dangerous job again, the left has used it to whine about some BS injustice. -Nice-
