The first couple times I saw a V-Rod on the street I'd ask the owner if the hardware on the bike was in SAE sizes or metric. Most had no idea what I was talking about, let alone any sort of answer. I don't think HD's target demographic for the V-Rod cared one whit about the Stuttgart engineering. (I think it was Chocoholic that finally answered my question, as I couldn't get any owner I came across here in LA to do so.)
