This. I sold and delivered a set of Porsche wheels, payment was via Paypal. The buyer's account was compromised and one fraudulent purchase was made before it was caught, Paypal reversed his last 30 days worth of purchases including mine. Despite both myself and the buyer trying to contact Paypal to have them fix our legitimate transaction, their "dispute resolution" process found that I should not be paid. Eventually we both gave up and he sent me a check. 
If there were a legitimate alternative to Paypal, I would be all over it.
