Holy smokes...
I'll chime in with a couple of thoughts. I drive a 1967 911S. A buddy had a VW beetle. He said the same thing when he got in and I reminded him of the 911 heritage. To make a long story short, he agreed that my wheels are certainly no bug - I just about had to help him peel his fingers off the passenger side door handle!
I wandered into this discussion because I'm looking at a 928 as a daily driver too. From the responses I see here this is a bad idea unless the pocket book is already fat and getting fatter.
