Got the 1978 SC almost ready to get media blasted. I am just in doubt if I should take the effort removing the rubber undercoat. It is still in relative good shape and I will never be able to reproduce a good protective layer as the original undercoat.
However, I like the idea of starting with a clean tub.
At the end it will be a street and occasional DE/Track car. Maybe more tracing in the far future.
What was your guys motivation of removing the undercoating?
