I want a PhD because...
- some of the slackers I was in grad school with did far less for their doctorate than I did for my MS
- it's almost a requirement for some positions here in Los Alamos
- while in LA nobody does the Dr./PhD game (seriously you're shunned if you pull such crap) it carries significant weight in DC where there are sadly few technically knowledgeable people.
- I want to be the hero whenever some buxom blonde cries out "is there a doctor in the house?"
