Stupid, stupid, stupid is what I think. The double points thing is a sure sign of Bernie's dementia, it was right up there with running sprinklers on the track at random. Can't believe that anyone agreed to that at all, but I guess money talks, and for the moment, Bernie has the money. Vettel has come out publicly against it....perhaps others will chime in.
Cost cap....well, too many ways to cheat, I would suggest that there are other ways to control cost (increase minimum weights to obviate the need for hyperexotic materials, reduce aero even further to reduce the fooling around chasing hundredths from aero benefits).
At some point F1 will truly become a circus, it certainly has a few clowns already....
