flying filming tips...........always keep the copter moving forward in motion, helps as a reference.
I've installed red electrical tape, taped on cut-up red plastic Solo cups nose cone, for more positional reference of what's "front".
I'm Looking at a new 808 style keychain camera (model #16 on ebay), new models are only $50 and shoot full 720p or 1080, this was a older cheapo $15 cam that only shot in 480x640, but in a way I like the grainy old school look.
the DJI's are just a little out of my price range to totally lose a $500 copter and $300 go pro, I'll write off $50 for copter/cam no biggee, but $800 gone gets the wife's attention.
My main quick to use video editing software is just Free Windows Live Movie Maker, when I want to get fancy I use Sony Vegas Movie Maker $99, and I could never teach myself or learn Adobe Premiere. Sony Vegas is a full feature software.
See my cheapo $35 quad copter with red tape keg cup mods here in the first seconds of the video:
Note the copter on the far left, a Red Solo cup "canopy" was my camera mount, with the keychain fob cam taped on top.
"How to lose a quad copter for 2 months in a tree"
