Sorry for neglecting my own thread for a while !
Thanks everyone for all the good wishes.
I had a couple Doctor appointments today and everything is looking good. Except blood pressure is a little high but not extreme. The Docs are adjusting the medication to bring that down a bit.
The "chronic, uncontrolled hypertension" was the cause of my problem according to the Docs. Oh, that and years of smoking ! Good news is I havent had a smoke since November 2. And I have no plans to go back to that.
Someone on here was asking about how the Aortic dissection was diagnosed. I know in the ER they did an ultrasound and then an MRI or CAT scan I believe. I dont actually remember any CAT scan or MRI since I was knocked out with some pain medication but I later found out about the scan.
What caused me to call 9-1-1 was sudden severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. I assumed it was a heart attack.
Thanks again for all the nice thoughts. And Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone. Looks like I will make one more Christmas and New Year ! Go me !!
