One of the absolute home-run gifts my wife got for our daughters at that age...
She went to a Good Will, found a foot locker and stuffed it full of the boldest, fluffiest, gawdiest, sparkliest, dress-up clothes she could find. Big shiny belts, flashy shoes in any size, velvet, hats, sequined jackets, 20s style boas. They got 10,000 hrs of pleasure from those things and every other girl in the neighborhood wanted to come over and play dress-up.
Total cost was around $30 including the foot locker many years ago. If you dare to do this, take a woman with you to pick out the right stuff.
